Our Aeta Girls |
One of these Aeta children who were blessed by the Lord through the ACH is Editha Pamilyang. She came to the ACH many years back sickly, dirty, and malnourished. The ACH clothed, fed, and educated her. She has finished her preschool and elementary education at the Christian School for the Aetas being run by the ACH here at Balaybay. Through sponsorship program, the ACH was able to support Editha in high school up to college. She took education course in college and graduated in 2007. She is now one of our active and committed teachers in the Christian school, helping and teaching the Aeta children. Praise the Lord and to Him be all the honor and glory! There are 3 more Aeta girls in the ACH who are now in college. They are Janet Carpio, Ana Pamilyang, and Alma Antonio. They have high hopes and expectations to finish their education course and after their graduation, to teach in the Christian school or go the Aeta villages and teach the Aeta children there. Janet will graduate in October. Ana and Alma are now in their second year college education. Please pray that our Lord will provide Janet, Ana and Alma their sponsors to finish their studies in college. They are now studying by faith in God’s mercy and provisions. We also have two Aeta girls who are graduating from high school and soon will go to college. They are Jasmin Pamilyang and Maria Teresa Naval. We are now praying for their sponsors to study in college. We appeal for your prayers and support for Jasmin and Maria so that after their graduation in high school, they can study in college. We need more committed Christian teachers to teach and help the Aetas especially the children. There are so many poor Aeta children in the villages growing up without the benefit of quality education. They live in a cycle of poverty and illiteracy. The main reason why the Aetas have not improved their quality of life for centuries is because of this cycle. If we ask an Aeta why she is poor, she will tell us that she was not able to study in school. When we ask her why she was not able to study in school, she will tell us because she is very poor. Education is the key to improve the quality of life of the poor but precious Aeta people. We need sponsors for the Aeta children to stay in the ACH and at the same time, study in college. One Aeta child needs at least 30 dollars a month to stay in the ACH and study in our Christian school. To sponsor an Aeta girl to study in college, she needs a double amount monthly (60 dollars) to finish her college education. May our gracious Heavenly Father touch your gracious heart to support or sponsor an Aeta child today. God bless and reward you richly as you make this decision. |
